WELDING TERMS AND DEFINITIONS |
The IIW lists of terms used in the field of welding and allied processes have historically been called Multilingual Collection of Terms (MCT).
The lists were created by the IIW Commission VI.
In a first step they were produced in the three languages English, French and German and in a second step further languages were added. MCTs exist as printed books divided into the different fields of joining and cutting processes. Some of them also contain definitions of terms.
In the future the revision of these lists will be available in electronic format. You can find here a link to open the MCT 3 dealing with arc welding terms.
